I still feel this way as a 45 year old Dad with a 15year old gifted princess. Thank you for sharing this. Namaste 💞

Orientation by Allis Wade, and the follow up books. These are about gifted students and their overexcitabilities. It's a work of fiction, with a lot of great information about giftedness. Every student I've had read it found it extremely interesting and informational.

This article discribes my son to a tee. It is so frustrating when you feel so helpless. Each email from teachers, principals, and other school staff makes you feel inadequte as a parent. It makes the child feel like they are not "good enough" that nothing they do is "good enough". I know the teacher get frustrated but aren't they given the tools and trained in how to help us help our children. Great article.

This is my son! This is the closest, most succinct article about children such as my son that I have ever read, and I have read a lot! All you need is the right teacher... Really brilliant article, thank you.. It helps so much to know that there are other people who understand exactly what these children's needs are.
